Custom Plastic Manufacturing
Most thermoplastic materials can be custom formed using polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylic, nylon, polyvinyl chloride, and many more. When mixed with additives it can change the plastic's properties. Some of these include stretch, color, abrasion resistance, surface texture, and durability. These are all very important factors when it comes to the manufacturing of fiberglass tanks. At Plas-Tanks we build our tanks using the best quality and the best use for the customers needs.

Our fiberglass tanks are not the only product that uses these types of plastic either. Others include, pipe systems, filtration systems, automobile parts and many more. Each have their own standards for their applications. Which is why custom plastic products are so important in every industry. This is also the reason why custom plastics can be so expensive. Since our tanks are custom made and have a larger amount of detail, it can be understood why we take so much pride in our tanks.

We design our tanks on computer drawing systems so that everything is mapped out to customer and industry standards.

The design is then carried out by hand thanks to our skillful shop floor workers. Thermoplastic is a very formable material when heated, and it can take the shape of just about anything. There are many different types of plastic. Some plastic product applications require certain properties and therefore must be specially made.

Our custom tanks are made using CAD drawings that are designed on computer software. Since thermoplastics are very formable when manufacturing and heated, they are very moldable and can take the shape of many things. Plastic is a very versatile product and can be used in so many industries. Plastics can be specially formatted for the product applications which is what makes them so important to many manufacturers.

Plastics that are made for the food industry such as dairy, food processing or food storage, must be made from FDA standards. FDA approved plastics are pure and can resist fats, oils, and other chemicals in the food industry. Just like in other industries, like the water industry, there are standards for plastic manufacturing. All plastics made with the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) stamping must be approved for the production. This certification assures that the chemicals used to create the tank are safe for the storage of water. This is also what helps keep a standard for the tanks we make. Whether it be the water industry or any other of our industries.
